Why was the “white supremacist” tag put on him? What was the evidence of it?

From what I heard on the radio shortly after this news broke, he had a prior hate crime conviction dating back to the 1980's.

I am in no way defending this person. But his ‘prior conviction’ was a complaint about a citizens arrest at the federal reserve to arrest them for treason. Knowing what you know about the federal reserve and the corruption of our government with respect to AIG, the bank ‘bailouts’ and GM, does anyone believe that the federal reserve isn’t committing treason against us?
