He admitted it was truly “in bad taste” and he said the comment was not about their underage daughter. True, it is not an apology as I would want it, but for him to take time on the show, even mentioning the term “rape” in his comments (not exactly a term used a humorous show), it means something.
David is not one to apologize for such missteps.
I can't stand to watch the guy anymore. Actually, he stopped being funny about two years before he left to CBS, but I thought he was the funniest thing on late night television until then.
Sorry, but that was not an apology. And yes, he WAS talking about Sarah's 14 y.o. girl.
He is now spinning, probably because of all the heat CBS took because of it.
It's not like they can afford even 1 less viewer.
