As a Mensan I would say that having a high IQ does not indicate good judgment or common sense.

Yep, I tried it for a few years too... had some fun at some gatherings (tons of beer), but was amazed at how many misfits were there.

Yep, I was a member once too. Found it exactly as you did, some nice people (made a couple of good friends) but lots of strange ones and I didn’t reup.
