I concur. I would wait about 5 days, then I would terminate the contract without giving a reason. I would refuse to provide substantive feedback to the fired consultant, and I would work backchannels with other businesses to reduce the volume of new work this consultant obtains.
Tell her she’s being replaced by a better looking broad with great hooters who is a lot smarter. And enjoys the smell of cigar smoke.

Releasing her should be no problem. Of course, now that she has “documented” your biased behavior by sending you an e-mail (that’s why she mailed it instead of talking to you personally), you will have to make sure that NOTHING in your reasons for releasing her could in anyway tie back to this incident.

Yes fire her, but don’t say even one peep as to why.
And yes, wait for some indeterminate amount of time, so if she tries to prove a connection, no connection is clear.
