So if some right-wing nut says that Michelle Obama is “slutty” looking, are we to expect no consequences?)

No chance of that!

Michelle is too porky and scowls too much to ever be described as "slutty"..

I suggest two reasons for the fury of the aristocratic Left. One was Palin’s stance on abortion. In the elite feminist mind, the perfect storm would be for a 40ish career woman, on the upswing of her cursus honorum, getting pregnant and, then, heaven forbid, delivering the child with full fore-knowledge of chromosomal abnormality. Or having her 17-year old come to full term with a child, unmarried, and without money?

This is why they hate Sarah with such passion. It's satanic.

Only Republican women get “knocked up.” However anyone I know would have to be “knocked out” to have sex with that John Belushi look-alike that Letterman had that mercy hump with.
I am not sure which one of those two was showing mercy but it would make an unwatchable scene.

Nah, knowing he has a weak ticker I’d go with a heart attack.

Yes, Dave has a ticker problem, not a kidney problem. I think the liberal advice is for the baby-mama to feed the baby-daddy lots of eggs and butter.

The older daughter is ONLY 18. Not even out of her teens. My goodness she may be old enough to vote, but she is still not old enough to order an alcoholic beverage in a restaurant. This is just so sickening. Destroy not only Sarah Palin but her children as well. What next? How low will Conservatives allow this type of Liberal Compassion to go?

Hey Letterman, here's a joke you can tell:

Nancy Reagan called up John Hinkley, the guy who tried to assassinate her husband. She asked how he was doing and said she heard he was going to be released. He said he was doing as well as could be expected and yes he was planning on being released. Nancy said, "Well that's nice, but I need to let you know, that David Letterman is dating Jody Foster."

We are the foolish ones for thinking that appealing to decency and fair play means anything to the "progressives". They think abortion on demand is a right for God sake. Why are we trying to appeal to their sense of decency?

This is the Republican/Conservative blind spot. Many just don't seem to understand the Left's motto: "By any means necessary."

What aggravates me is that he’s remarked that the mom is slutty so he believes therefore the daughters (doesn’t matter which teen he was referring to) are slutty, without morals. And that if either were raped by this horndog Alex Rodriquez then nobody cares because he’s stereotyped all into one category. This is one big baldface lying racist statement. We know lumpy letterman for what he truly is. And CBS rewards this horrible creature. Both ganglion (BTW my son had one of these and a ganglion is truly ugly cyst) letterman & CBS should be put out of business. I’m so angry over this.

Letterman needs to be ignored.

Who’s on Conan’s show tonight?

Watch Craig Furgeson...he’s funny, and I think he leans right.

I’ve seen him. He’s pretty funny, but his monologues tend to ramble on a bit for my tastes.

He doesn’t lean very far right. I’ve heard him make some statements the ACLU would love.

Plus, doesn’t he come on AFTER Letterman? Too late for me.

I just found out that the Olive Garden restaurant is also an advertise of David Letterman. This is for those who have decided to no longer do business with Mr. Letterman’s advertisers.

What a sad state we are living in.

The intent of Letterman’s tripartite sexual reference was to suggest that the Palins were synonymous with female promiscuity. (cf. Letterman’s further references to the governor’s “slutty” look, and remarks about former governor Eliot Spitzer’s interest in a Palin daughter, e.g., the “toughest part” of Palin’s visit “was keeping former New York governor Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter.”)

Cf. that logic:

(a) Palin is in N.Y. with her 14-year-old daughter;

(b) former N.Y. governor Spitzer was caught visiting a young prostitute. Ergo . . .

(c) Sarah Palin will naturally have to “keep” a randy Spitzer away from a likewise randy 14-year-old with dug-out propensities.

Great post, Tolik.

What I found amazing is how Letterman can characterize Palin’s appearance to be that of a “slutty flight attendant”.

I’ve flown a lot and truth be told, I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a “slutty flight attendant”. There’s nothing about Palin’s physical appearance that says “slutty” at all.

I suspect that Letterman only wishes he were married to someone as attractive as Palin is - rather than his current wife.

P.S. If anyone can describe to me what a “slutty flight atendant” looks like, I’d like to hear it!

"For most upscale, educated liberals, a daughter’s future career is ruined by pregnancy, "

Meanwhile, those same "upscale, educated liberals" have advocated and provided a monthly "per child" stipend for every liberal woman who makes a lifestyle out of squirting out one kid after another for taxpayers to support from cradle to grave on welfare.

How about their "future careers"?

For a time, only elected officials adopted the attitude of "do as I say, not as I do"...now, anyone who calls themselves "democrat", "liberal", or "progressive", thinks they yield the same power over the rest of us.

I believe that Letterman’s company “World Wide Pants” owns Craig Ferguson’s show.
