US rejects victory claim by Iran's Ahmadinejad

The U.S. on Saturday refused to accept hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's claim of a landslide re-election victory in Iran and said it was looking into allegations of election fraud.

Any hopes by the Obama administration of gaining a result similar to Lebanon's recent election, won by a Western-backed moderate coalition, appeared to be in jeopardy.

"We are monitoring the situation as it unfolds in Iran, but we, like the rest of the world, are waiting and watching to see what the Iranian people decide," U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said at a news conference with Canada's foreign affairs minister, Lawrence Cannon.

Minutes after Clinton spoke, the White House released a two-sentence statement praising "the vigorous debate and enthusiasm that this election generated, particularly among young Iranians," but expressing concern about "reports of irregularities."

Well, we don't want to impose our will on other nations, do we?

I mean, if a nation believes in corrupt elections, who are we to criticize?

I mean, really, think about it.
How can Obammie and his Commies complain about corrupt elections? They probably lent Ahmanutjob ACORN’s services.

Odd how the tea party people who did agree with Obama policies are not praised for their “enthusiasm” and “rigorous debate.”

Every revolution needs a trigger event. This may be it for Iran. If the mullahs can’t tamp down the resistance early the momentum may grow into a full blown overthrow of the government.

Not fair.

Iran accepted Obama’s “election” even though it was as crooked as a camels hind leg.

Who the he** do these guys think they are? Looking into allegations of voter fraud? What do they think they can do about it?

Another thing, if they are so worried about voter fraud why did they dismiss the charges against the Black Panthers?

And will do what? The Obama administration has the United States laying prostrate before the world. Occasionally a country will come by and kick us. Iran is the latest.

We will do nothing.

Why go to Iran to “look for election fraud”? Plenty here in the US.

I'm hardly qualified to remark on this, but my vague sense is that this isn't going to be the one, though it could be a booster.

IMO, the reason Bozo and the boys(you notice though that Bozo is not actually saying anything)are irritated is he made his lame statement yesterday thinking Mousavi was going to win and now he looks like the total conceited POS he really is and they are trying to salvage that.

egObama thought his Cairo speech had made a voter revolution in the wackiest of places, Iran. He failed. He is failure. He wants to suck up to these terrorist dictators but he played a bad hand with Iran. egObama, go back to community organizing.
