And the Drive By’s try to supress full coverage of the protests, because it might reflect negatively on Zero’s capabilities to enact “change” you can believe in...

CNN tried hard yesterday to make up for its lack of coverage on Saturday- in fact they had a two hour “special live coverage” from 10-12 last night...kind of like bribery!

This from the BBC:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2009/06/stop_the_blocking_now.html

BBC audiences in Iran, the Middle East and Europe may be experiencing disruption to their BBC TV or radio services today. That is because there is heavy electronic jamming of one of the satellites the BBC uses in the Middle East to broadcast the BBC Persian TV signal to Iran.

Satellite technicians have traced that interference and it is coming from Iran. There has been intermittent interference from Iran since Friday, but this is the heaviest yet.

It seems to be part of a pattern of behaviour by the Iranian authorities to limit the reporting of the aftermath of the disputed election. In Tehran, John Simpson and his cameraman were briefly arrested after they had filmed the material for this piece. And at least one news agency in Tehran has come under pressure not to distribute internationally any pictures it might have of demonstrations on the streets in Iran.

~snip~

I think the MSM wants to supress, or at least downplay, the information because they are reminded of the recent tea party protests, of the ones scheduled in the future and the fact that millions of Americans are unemployed with grim employment job prospects and who have nothing to lose by protesting. They do not want to stir the unhappy masses.

Until the www erupted in twitter information the msm didn’t want to report much information, but with the volume of data on the net, they must report out of reluctance so as to merely attempt to appear unbiased. Tweets forced the MSM hand. Interesting times we live in!

The Iranians don’t want their islamic republic any longer. They want freedom. O-zero can’t have any of that. He wants a caliphate. So O-zero doesn’t come out with a statement. Heck, I could be wrong but it sure is looking that way.
