Yeah, keep your doctor. We’ll just write regulations so tight that Dr. Jeckyl will be Dr. Hyde when we’re done with him. People who sucker for this will get precisely what they deserve.

He says whatever is convenient, but Obama is a damn liar.

I may like my doctor what I require is that when my wife had cancer we got to see the experts of our choice on a very fast track, I liked them too but they weren’t “our doctor” they were specialists.

Telling me I can “keep” my doctor has nothing to do with rationing, having less advanced equipment, etc.

Given the known statistic that this Marxist lies more than he tells the truth, you can imagine what you would really end up with. This is just more power-madness, more Marxism, and more destruction of the once great, powerful and successful America he is so rabidly destroying.

How long will even the DemoRats let this go on???

My doctor is pretty good, but he's a guy, and I want to be seen by a super hot doctor, like the ones on T.V.

Did he say anything about that? Specifically, plans under way for me to get mine?

What Obama means is, “Sure, keep your non-government doctor...until he's put out of business when many of his patients flee to doctors being paid by Uncle Sam.”

Of course you can. However, your doctor will probably leave the profession in a year or two. You’ll love your new federally-employed PA, though.

The doctors hate paperwork and insurance companies so he’s just telling them what they want to hear. He’s lying. Why will a doctor dealing with either the government or the government and private insurers have any less to deal with?

In fact, they will have to “squeeze in” the 50 million patients he wants to add to their burden.

‘If You Like Your Doctor, You Can Keep Your Doctor’

Other Marxists wouldn’t let you keep your own doctor! He’s much nicer!

Most of my doctors are not that young. I bet they’ll retire pronto rather than be part of Obamacare. So where’s my choice when they doctors I want are no longer practicing?

Lets just take "parental leave" as an example. When the Democrats first proposed then demanded it, it was unpaid and I think the limit was two weeks. I remember the Republicans fighting it because it was just "the camel's nose under the tent". The Democrats laughed and scoffed and called the Republicans "anti-family".

Today it's leave that has to be paid for by the employer and now includes, not just mothers caring for their newborns, but fathers, children caring for their elderly parents, parents attending school teacher conferences and the last I heard the Democrats were trying for owners with sick pets. And the time has gone to six weeks.

Govt. health plan competing with private physicians will drive the private physicians out of business quickly with lower patient volume and lower reimbursements. Over 40% of MDs are more than 55 yrs old. Replacements from medical schools are inadequate, and the physicians produced are burdoned with educational debt that will not be able to be serviced.

If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor.

Right up until he/she quits practicing, because the government has put him/her out of business. We already have numerous doctors who either refuse to take Medicare/Medicaid patients or have quit practicing because of how little Medicare/Medicaid reimburses them for their work. And we want a system that pays on that scale for ALL patients? Yeah, that's going to thrill the really good doctors, not to mention make hordes of our best and brightest want to go to medical school.
