You’re not alone.
And Freepers, before you all keep your shorts in a bunch over this, think - what is more important? Exacting revenge on the court jester or highlighting the crimes of the evil king?
It wasn’t a “joke”—it was an attempt at humiliating a politician he doesn’t like, i.e. a conservative. He pushed the envelope too far. The sponsors have spoken and he apologized. I don’t want him fired. I hope he is off the air soon because of poor ratings. He is still the same left winger he’s always been and will continue to attack conservatives thru his “humor.”
We can do both, you weirdo Letterman apologist.
No sensible person had any kind of “misunderstanding” of Letterman’s mysogynistic and filthy joke.
He not only spoke of a young woman being PUBLICLY assaulted by a baseball player, he spoke of the “Highlights” that could be seen later on video.
This is a reference to pornography, of which David probably has a large collection.
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. These words of his about the Palin girl did not spring from a clean heart.
Start with the court jester. If you go up the chain from least to highest, you will find that when you “get” the top guy there will be no successors to carry on his policies.
the last thing Obama needs is a liberal who gets people so upset that a sponsor drops. He would like Rush to be the national bad guy.
Everyone in the media and in government play their "very important" role in shaping public opinion and policy. I say go after everyone under the whole corrupt circus tent (the pirates ship, the mobsters den, the psycho perverts hideout...whatever you call it.)
Did you see mister "culture warrior" apologize for Letterman? Some culture he wants us in. He's a right wing sheep herder...and a fake. He's there to look like he stands for values but he always poo poos any attempts by anyone to stand up for them.
I agree with you too. There comes a point that you have to let people apologize. His sincerity, or lack thereof, will soon become obvious.
