Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter’s personal effort to make Hamas a peace partner has set off alarm bells in the White House. "[We] won't have more to say about this,” a government official said after being asked about reports that Carter will propose to U.S. President Barack Obama that the United States take Hamas off the list of illegal terrorist organizations.
The White House is livid with Carter, according to an experienced Middle East expert who was quoted on the website of the widely respected Foreign Policy magazine. “They are very pissed,” he said. "Just like with President Clinton, Carter is becoming a huge problem and a growing concern for Obama.”

It was announced earlier today that Carter delivered a message to Hamas on Obama’s behalf.
I’m not convinced Carter is doing this solely on his own.
I will admit that it would seem strange for ‘the One’ to relinquish some of the credit to Carter, for negotiations, so there may be some truth in the idea that Obama is angry about this.
The very idea of stating that Hamas is not a terrorist organization angers me significantly.
That may be what Obama is livid about. It’s hard to tell, because I don’t think he seriously understands what a massive terrorist org Hamas is.
The truth is this: B.O. doesn’t care one whit about the middle east peace process. Not one.
He really doesn’t care about foreign policy at all and only addresses it when pressed by events.
His goal is to implement socialism into America.
Good. Let them self-destruct.

Jimmy Carter was a pleasant but singularly ineffectual president; his urge to make imself relevant now, so many years later, has resulted merely in his transformation into an ageing pantaloon. It’s a shame that, in his retirement, he didn’t opt for the quiet dignity of remaining on his peanut farm.
Carter always was somebody’s useful idiot. But sense he left office he has been a tool of the Saudi royal family.
The "community organizer" has NO clue what these shitty non-productive murdering child-abusing hate-teaching Palis are about. OR, he is so friggin Utopian as to think the Palis will be a peaceful culture if they have more land. They got their "State" in Gaza and immediately destroyed it.
So-called Palistinians are a gutter people that NOBODY wants anyone near them (think Jordan, Egypt, and others). As I've said before, I have more respect for the primitive tribes of the Amazon region. They simply want to be left alone and not bother anyone.
But the Palis have some strange need to teach their children to hate and attack innocent freedom-loving Israelis. They are so sick that they cut the heads of their own children in their sick rituals. I despise that culture.

I’ve seen quote that the Palistinians are simply being used by the Arabs as a tool against the Isrealis. Other Arab countries could easily absorb them but have refused to. The poverty and other social problems are part of the plan.
I this country was what it should be this old creep and many of his kind would have been arrested for treason years ago.
Surprise, surprise. Carter has been running around the world promoting his private foreigh policy every since he lefy office. A good example of his brand of foreign policy was when he was in office and he threw the Shah of Iran under the bus for the Mullahs. He has consistently been anti Israel and he’s buddy buddy with Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. Good going Jimmy. Now you have even pissed Obama off. Carter was/is without a doubt the worst President and Ex President in the last 100 years.
Thank you for your service. I hate to disagree with you, but I think, when the dust settles, Carter will be/is vying for second place in both categories behind the current goon occupying the white house. He will be followed closely for 3rd by Delano.
