North Korea may launch a long-range ballistic missile towards Hawaii on American Independence Day, according to Japanese intelligence officials.
The missile, believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles, would be launched in early July from the Dongchang-ni site on the north-western coast of the secretive country.
Intelligence analysts do not believe the device would be capable of hitting Hawaii's main islands, which are 4,500 miles from North Korea.
Details of the launch came from the Japan's best-selling newspaper, Yomiuri Shimbun.
Both Japanese intelligence and U.S. reconnaissance satellites have collated information pointing to the launch, according to the report.

Joking aside though - the Hawaiians should immediately disarm to show the North Koreans that they’re no threat.
Or Hawaii should appeal to the UN. Maybe some tough sanctions are in order.
The last thing we need is more “cowboy diplomacy”. There is NO EVIDENCE that North Korea has a bomb. Just their threats - and we all know that the North Koreans are a bunch of liars.

Obviously I am again disturbed regarding North Korea’s continued development of missle technology is, along with their testing of nuclear weapons.
However, even more alarming is the inaccuracy of their systems. While we can’t stop North Korea’s development of weapons of Mass Destruction, nor of their missle technology - we CAN make these missle test safer.
I have instructed the Secretary of Defense to provide North Korea with our latest missle guidance technology so that future missle tests will be more accurate to avoid any excursions into United State’s territory. Former President Bill Clinton will be lending his experience in this transfer of technology as well.
Too bad he doesn’t deal with America’s enemies the way he deals with insects.
