From Twitter: Teheran hospitals report hundreds of wounded. In the meantime a spanixh sources quotes the police who reports on a suicide bomb in a lorry in Teheran causing 50 deaths and 167 injured.

The students are going against the head choppers. This is not a lot of violence. If the tear gas doesn't stop the protests they will just start hanging people in the street.

If the Iranian people can throw off the Mullahs, *everything* could change.
Potentially:
* No more nuke development and subsequent proliferation
* No more weapons and manpower seeping into Iraq
* Funding and direction for terror proxy groups cut off
* Syria would be ‘fresh out of friends’ (behave or face the wrath of Israel alone)
I’d love to see (more or less) what they had before the Mullahs come back, less the old repression. Some kind of stable, representative parliamentary republic would be fantastic- for the Iranian people, for the region, and for the rest of the world.

Yes, the only funding for Mid East terror groups would then come from Saudi Arabia, the EU and the US. One would hope that we would be able to stop the latter two via some succesful elections. Saudi on the other hadn would need some forecful diplomacy....where is John Bolton?

Iran isn’t the only source, but it’s one of the very big ones. An Iranian revolution, followed by something stable and sane on Iran could be an enormous event of unalloyed good.
