Coulter: 'I Don't Think of It As a Murder'
Little Green Footballs ^ | June 22, 2009 | Little Green Footballs

Posted on 06/23/2009 6:02:57 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Even Bill O’Reilly (who has been pretty cold-blooded about the murder of Dr. George Tiller) seems a little taken aback when Ann Coulter says, “I don’t think of it as a murder ... I am personally opposed to shooting abortionists, but I don’t believe in imposing my morality on others.”

And: “If you don’t believe in shooting abortionists, don’t shoot an abortionist.” And: “That’s why liberals are so hysterical about this, because generally they’re on the pro-death side ... in this one case, they’re finally against someone dying, a man responsible for killing 60,000 babies.”

Funny how Charles Johnson conviently edited her comment. Ann said she didn’t think it was muder but a 632nd (or something) trimester abortion.

I agree but the issue needs to be treated with care. The leftists love to paint themselves as the compassionate and even-handed arbiters of human rights. We need to ensure that they fail at spreading this terrible lie.

And Ann did not propose some “meeting of the minds so that common objectives could be met” when it comes to shooting abortionists ~ a “truce” where the vital process continues, but allowances are made for quiet moralizing.

I thought she was referring to morality, not law. My mistake

I’m going to go out on a limb and suspect Ann is engaging in some Michael O’Donoghuesque humor here, that is to say very, very dry and very, very dark, in order to make a point. Because as creepy as those quotes sound, they mirror things that people on the pro-”choice” side have said...except they weren’t kidding. I’m somewhat surprised she didn’t riff off the female Episcopal seminary dean and say that shooting abortionists is a blessing and our work is not done. Or did I miss it by not reading the post?

"Let me be more clear, Coulter is an idiot."

Would you like to post your IQ up against Ann Coulter? I would bet her IQ is far superior to yours.

>>We need to ensure that they fail at spreading this terrible lie.<<

That hasn’t worked.

Watch any Disney show. The humor is sarcasm. Seinfeld is sarcasm. Ann is speaking the language of the younger generation. Brilliantly.

We need to start calling them Pro-Death and get the point across.

I think she did a fine job showing the fallacy of the 'Pro-Choice' justification.

At least she didn't say, "my gun, my choice!"

Have trouble understanding sarcasm do you? Can’t get Coulter’s point? Perhaps a little study and meditation will help you, or maybe a brain transplant. What Ann said here is brilliant and she throws the libtards BS when they are talking about killing unborn babies right back at them.

Law comes from morality.

You said — I agree but the issue needs to be treated with care. The leftists love to paint themselves as the compassionate and even-handed arbiters of human rights. We need to ensure that they fail at spreading this terrible lie.

Now come on... what better way to expose the pro-abortion logic than to use it exactly as they’ve been using it. The minute one of those pro-abortion people start complaining about that logic, then they *open the door* to questioning their logic on the matter... LOL...

She aid — “I am personally opposed to shooting abortionists, but I don’t believe in imposing my morality on others.”

Great! Remember that line and use it... :-)

And also she said — “If you don’t believe in shooting abortionists, don’t shoot an abortionist.”

Remember that one too!

And lastly, for good measure — “That’s why liberals are so hysterical about this, because generally they’re on the pro-death side ... in this one case, they’re finally against someone dying, a man responsible for killing 60,000 babies.”

Gotta keep each one of those quotes for posterity.... LOL...

As usual, Ann Coulter’s sharp sarcasm is missed by most people. She runs circles around the left, and does it with ease.

Yeah, it never fails. I remember way back on the Harriet Miers threads FReepers were screaming over her "cleaning lady" remark, and then again on the John Edwards comment. Some of these FReepers are just like the squishy moderates that are destroying the Republican Party.

I give Ann an “A” on this.

She could have earned an A+ by saying the murder was just a discussion the way 0bama said the violence in Iran was.

Coulter was talking about certain kinds of law - that are created and put on the books because of morality saying that something should be “this way”..., hence “enforcing it”, upon the public...
