H1N1 related death reported in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Another H1N1 related death in the Heartland hits in Jackson County.
Jackson County Health Department Administrator Miriam Link-Mullison says an adult male has died due to complications related to H1N1.
She says he did have under lying health conditions, although no other details about the victim are being released.
Yesterday we told you about an H1N1 death in Williamson County.
There have also been deaths related to the H1N1 illness in Caldwell County, Kentucky and Poplar Bluff.

H1N1 flu virus in Michigan to stick around till spring.

The H1N1 flu virus that is sickening thousands daily, and since September has hospitalized more than 800 and killed 28, will probably be around until April Janet Olszewski, Michigan Department of Community Health Director, told lawmakers this morning.
“We’re likely to see waves and peaks and valleys,” she told a Senate subcommittee. “We expect this to stay around. We’ll be dealing with this throughout the influenza season.”
