Virtue is in th Churc hand your personal life.

We have allowed ourselves to be played by the left that the slightest transgression by our own is grounds for impeachment and condemnation by those who have no reason to judge at all.

And the Democrats continue to win elections while we search for a perfect figure who will never make a mistake.

We are own worst enemy.

Suggested Democrat press release ...

“A Sitting Governor ditches his security detail, bags one of their vans, hops in his car, drives to Atlanta from SC, then hops a plane to Argentina, bangs around with his mistress, over the Fathers Day weekend, while his wife and kids were home?”

Impeach him? I say make him Director of the CIA!!!!!!

Makes you wonder how he made it through the Atlants airport without being recognized...

He WAS recognized at the Atlanta airport by a reporter. That's when the story changed from "hiking trip" to "getaway to Buenos Aires".

There is no doubt in my mind...that as we read this thread, already a full-court press has begun to locate this woman in Argentina...the fact he took such a risk signals to me that this is only tne end of the beginning on this story...my senses tell me there may be a love-child involved...wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

Yep.

To tell you the truth, IMO, the guy doesn’t seem to be on the national stage, even before this. The candidate that can beat Barry needs to be able to look comfortable on TV and connect to the people. Sarah fits that mold. John Kasich perhaps. Mitt would be good, but he’s too liberal.

Well said. We seem to have adopted a perceived “holier than thou” ethic that is impossible to uphold. I admire anyone who remains faithful and takes care of his family, but when we are caught preaching to others, we are continually going to be embarrassed by our politicians.

There are many good GOP people who can not run because they might have had some sort of indescretion in their past. The Dems like Obama can get away with anything in their past, including drug use while we have to walk on water.

Time for us to join the 21st Century.

while we search for a perfect figure who will never make a mistake.

Agree on the fallibility of looking for a perfect figure; however, this is a pretty big mistake for Sanford to make, particularly as the Chairman of GOP Govs.

Faithfulness in marriage is a good thing for national leaders of the party upholding conservatism to have as we fight national perversion on abortion and gay marriage...one reason why I respected GW so much. Everyone knew there were no problems there.

Our future national leaders in the GOP need to have the same rectitude...or no need to apply IMO.

First, who died and made you the Czar of cleverness? Second, I neither trust you or care what you think.

Power corrupts. It's also an aphrodisiac to many women. You got it, Wobbly Bob. I wanted to believe the best about Mark Sanford, but it seems no one is immune. What a waste.

The Dems will continue to win now anyway - the problem isn’t the politicians, it’s our fellow countrymen.

He’s out in a year due to term limits in SC. At least we still have DeMint...

Amazing how these Argentine tango queens are able to home in on American politicians. Any photos of her to judge guilt or innocence?

TMZ will get them first
