“which was allowed in Mosaic Law and even mandated at times, a lifestyle that Abraham, Jacob and others lived, with incest and sodomy?”

Polygamy is nowhere allowed in Mosaic law, although it is reported as occurring many times.

Polygamy was further never mandated.

Abraham had two wives. Jacob had two wives. True. They also did a lot of other things. But it was neither condoned nor mandated.
