In point of fact, Washington never quit growing tobacco, or quit distilling whiskey or several other entrepreneurial enterprises he was involved in. All throughout his Presidency, he continued owning his farming and distilling business.

Granted. Still (pardon the pun), the distinction remains that owning is not the same as doing.
