In college, Barack Obama wrote about nuclear arms. As a senator, he viewed a deactivated Russian nuclear missile.

In the depths of the cold war, in 1983, a senior at Columbia University wrote in a campus newsmagazine, Sundial, about the vision of “a nuclear free world.”
He railed against discussions of “first- versus second-strike capabilities” that “suit the military-industrial interests” with their “billion-dollar erector sets,” and agitated for the elimination of global arsenals holding tens of thousands of deadly warheads.
The student was Barack Obama, and he was clearly trying to sort out his thoughts. In the conclusion, he denounced “the twisted logic of which we are a part today” and praised student efforts to realize “the possibility of a decent world.”
But his article, “Breaking the War Mentality,” which only recently has been rediscovered, said little about how to achieve the utopian dream.

Response: Degeneration of the governing class. A significant proportion of the populace has achieved a life lived at a bestial level: i.e. eating, drinking, drugs, copulating, evacuating the bowels and snoring.

The problem is that McCain DID get his message across!!! He's a "maverick" - don't you remember? A more sorry candidate couldn't be found than this man.
I did not stay home - even though I hated John McCain - I voted for Sarah. But for GOD's sake - how much slop do you expect the right to take? He was the Titanic candidate, Sarah gave her best to his campaign, but it wasn't enough!
Politics as the GOP has been practicing it is officially over as of now - thanks to Sarah Palin. If having to endure Obama as our President helped to change the status quo - then that's how it has to be.
IIRC, he wrote his master’s thesis on this topic. Somehow, the thesis has “disappeared” and nobody in recent times has seen it.
I am not going to sit here and argue with you, but there are people here on FR who can not explain to me what McCain heathcare plan was without looking it up.

A couple decades of Hollyweird making movies with every “leader” (military, scientist, spiritual, whatnot) a black person. While the main fat-idiot-slob was always a white guy.
Then when the opportunity came to vote for a black person as president it didn't matter how horrible a candidate he was, people were too brainwashed to notice.
It’s easy to figure out,the bankers chose o to promote their agenda so they backed him.Now o has allowed the bankers to rob and pillage America.Simple as that.Sad to say but bush did the same thing.
