Halfway through the first year, I am tired already of the monumental diplomacy gaffes from this guy. Oh, am I to understand that daddy blew off his hosts in order to have dinner with his little girls?? I can hear the Phil Donahue/Dr. Phil-types over here, "Isn't he a wonderful father, putting his children ahead of work." Please already -- hey pal, you ain't on vacation! You can't handle the functions of the job in toto, then move on, let someone who is able to do so.

Pres. Bush was disciplined and knew what it took to do these overseas trips. He conserved his energy for the most important meetings and his staff worked tightly with him. Obama doesn't have a clue and is screwing up the schedule already.
I don’t think that the Obama’s have any regard for protocol. They go through the motions, but with little enthusiasm. They really have no refinement and are rather arrogant about the fact. Spending money like nouveau riche pretenders is really all they know.

I think while some introverted leaders force themselves to experience the personal discomfort of social environments for the good of the organization they lead, I believe Obama's selfishness, narcissism, and naivete prevent him from putting forth the effort needed to do his job.
