As always, the productive would be harmed by the unproductive. I think Germany has already tried to make some efforts to get out of the Euro agreement and back to DM, as the basket-case economies of Italy and Spain for example make the Euro weaker against the USD than the DM would have been.

Depends on who controls the World Wide Currency. If the World wide currency is a standard like an ISO standard and nothing but a list of specifications to how it looks, how it is backed, What percentage of the currency if not all needs to backed up by which precious metals, etc etc....
Then it would be a good idea.
If it is controlled from a Central Bank controlled by the UN or the EU or god help us the Chinese then I can see it being manipulated to server the needs of those who control it. Especially if it is a Fiat or Fiat-ish type currency.

Just as one part of the global government prophecy of Revelation is in the process of being fulfilled, the rest of it will happen as well.
The ball is already rolling and is already pretty far gone.
I foresee two world economies in the future. One which is a peasant type fiat currency that is easily manipulated. And the other which is backed by gold that the one world order leader aristocrat class use to manipulate the value of the peasant fiat currency.
When the world ruling class need to squeeze the working peons they can just manipulate the fiat currency.
