And I will NEVER buy Japanese or German. My father would roll over in his grave if I did. And ever since FORD started flying the Vietnamese Communist flag at corporate headquarters; they're off the list too!
Ok, so no GM, Chrysler or Ford for you. No Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Daihatsu, Suzuki or Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche or Rolls Royce or Bentley (German owned) for you either
I'm guessing you won't buy Italian either (JAp-Italian-German axis), so no Ferrari, Fiat, Alfa Romeo or Maserati. No French probably, so no Peugeot, Renault or Citroen.
And no English cars (what are left?!) due to 1776.
So, whata's left? Korean cars like Hyundai or Kia? Indian like Tata or Mahindra? Maybe Swedish? Volvo?

Volvo and SAAB are each owned by one of the Big-3 - Try GOOGLE Search
Jag & Aston Martin were owned by Ford
FIAT owns most of the Italian made buggies and more
Maserati uses Ferrari engines
Dodge and the Dodge Viper use a Lambo based mill
It’s a jungle out thar!
American maufacturers got too much into buying foreign marques
The good news (I have heard) is that the new Chevy Camaro is outselling (9000 sold? already?) the Ford Mustang and exceeding production
A reversal of the 50s Vette sales against the 50s (4-1) Baby Bird sales
FIAT/EU cars can often share the same platforms
Ford’s strength came largely from producing the same series of engine designs for Ford - Ford trucks - Mercury - Lincoln
Chrysler did so too
GM went with Chebby, Pontiac, Old, Buick, Caddy
All made some great engines - but why?
Legacy costs, union contracts, parallel engines - it was not a cost-saver
Now Camaros are being boneyard-retroed into Firebirds as memories fade
