I pray it wasn’t a civilian plane, but one carrying Revolutioanry Guards. There have been several instances during the past 5 years with Military brass “having accidents” on planes.

According to other articles, it was a Russian-made plane. Maybe it was the infamous Illyushin variety.

From the newest thread it was on the way to the Armenian capital. I guess Armenians from Iran on the way to celebrate Vardavar (a feast of the Armenian Church) in Erivan.

The plane was a Tupolev, maintained by the Iranian Air line.
Getting on that thing is a suicide pact.

I have to admit, the first thing that ran thru my mind when I read about it this morning was, “I wonder if there was someone on board that the regime wanted to get rid of”
