Yeah, but this wouldn't have gotten near so much press if the guy had just manned up and said "Guys, I threw a stinkerball out there, didn't I? If Albert (Pujols) hadn't reached for it, it would have gone under the plate!".
If he had been upfront and joked about it, it would go a long way towards making him into a real person.
But no.
This is why the mini Media-storm from about a week ago wherein the President was checking the bottom of a 16 yo girl was such a put-up job. Obama is a pansy. Everybody close to him is nervous about the vibe he puts out. So they get him photographed leering at a shapely young girl and the whole "metrosexual" thing just disolves. Shades of Bill Clinton walking out of a church with the biggest darned Bible anybody ever saw.
'Course Obama immediately revives the "metrosexual" image with his girly-throw at the All-Star game.
