Edén Pastora threatened to attack Honduras

According to the former military, the Honduran conflict could only be resolved by guns.

Tegucigalpa,

Honduras .

Former Nicaraguan guerrilla Eden Pastora, threatened to take up arms if there is no agreement in Costa Rica on the return of Manuel Zelaya as president.

Pastora, a former Sandinista commander, is known for having led the command that took the National Palace, in the late 70s, during the Somoza dictatorship.

See the biography of Eden Pastora

According to El Universal of Venezuela, "Commander Zero," he told the media that the Costa Rican Honduran conflict could only be resolved by the gun and was ready to charge again for a rifle to be reinstated in power Zelaya.

"Beware of the Central American people, careful again to force me to think bad, definitely we should not be so. The problem in Honduras is a lead in the chamber of a rifle with only one lead in the chamber of a gun can be fix it." Pastora said to local radio station America Costa Rica.

He stated that if "the gorilla (as Chavez has referred to President Roberto Micheletti and General Romeo Vasquez) continue oppressing the people, let's go all the Central American brothers, to help Honduras."

The publication also mentions that half Venezuelan Pastora was one of the key figures in the triumph of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) against the Somoza dictatorship 30 years ago. But three years later defected from the ranks of the FSLN, and rose up in arms against their former comrades in the struggle, convinced that they had betrayed the revolution.

"We're going to help the Honduran people that we know and do things," he said.

Pastora was named the 1978 Chief of the General Staff of the Army by guerrilla Daniel Ortega, the current president of Nicaragua.

That Zelaya has visited Nicaragua several times since June 28, said that reaching an agreement or not in San Jose, returned to Honduras to take over the presidency and they have confirmed his wife, Xiomara Castro de Zelaya, and daughter, Hortensia Zelaya.

The second day of dialogue takes place today in Costa Rica, with a view to finding a solution to the conflict.

I’d say the Marxists/Communists are a little PO’d about one of their boys being thrown out on his ass in his Winnie the Pooh pajamas. I think these guys were counting on Baracko to have his buddy Zelaya put back in charge and it isn’t working out.

Those who insist on keeping their freedom will eventually have to put a little lead in all the commies, unless a noose is more appropriate for the circumstance.

Commies only learn when you give 'em a reason. Like a bullet in the head.

Eden Pastora will undoubtedly underestimate the Hondurans.

Eden is kind of an interesting guy. Though past his time, he rather fashioned himself as an advocate for democracy (though he tended to run with some fairly pink friends). From the standpoint of political belief, he was certainly no Marxist.

Pastora is over the hill. I’m guessing this is just some journalist seeing if they could get a rise out of the old guy. He was a significant person at one time. I guess they’re just testing his reflexes, instead of his strength. Probably looks good to old readers.

Extradite and prosecute Allen Anderrson, who claims,

"And then, there's one of his all-time favorite multimillion-dollar gambits, the time he played presidential kingmaker in Honduras . . . and won. Barely noticed outside Tegucigalpa, Andersson assumed a key -- many say decisive -- offstage role in the 2005 election of Manuel "Mel" Zelaya, the recently deposed president of Honduras.

As Honduras convulsed this month over Zelaya's ouster -- in his pajamas -- in a military coup, Andersson spoke for the first time about what he proudly describes as the "shenanigans" he orchestrated in the final days of the 2005 upset. It is a saga sprinkled with heaps of cash, private detectives, sting operations, attack ads, internecine squabbles and Andersson's epic grudge against Zelaya's wealthy, dashing opponent, Porfirio "Pepe" Lobo, whose last name means "wolf" in Spanish. In short, Andersson had a blast.

"I just had a taste of blood in my mouth," he says, suddenly balling his right hand into a fist and bringing it crashing down onto a glass coffee table. "My mission was not to avoid poverty or bankruptcy or disgrace; my mission was to beat Pepe Lobo."

Rich Man, Poor Man

A wealthy leftist who brags about manipulating the elections in 2005 and who, even if he says no longer has any wealth, just may be now manipulating Zelaya's usurpation of the Honduras constitution?

He’s so old that the best he could do would be to gum somehody on the leg until they noticed him and swiped him off.

that idiot, he left us with is problem. I’ve heard that he is an Eco-marxist. Many of ut thought in Frank Almaguer deciding. We could formally call this a fraud, we heard rumors that the election was stolen from our conservative candidate.

But this year is going to be radically different, our candidate will win! (if the elections take place of course)

Yes, and the times are different also. Eden’s seems an odd statement for a man that fashions himself an advocate for democracy.

As I have told others who think Zelaya must be returned, Michelliti says he will step aside and have early elections. Zelaya calls for civil war to return him to power for 3 months!

Just who really has the Honduran people’s best interests at heart?

As for Anderrson, he is the type of arrogant know it all that gives all Americans a bad name in other countries.
