It makes perfectly good sense that the Bush administration would've cautioned government agencies to hold their necessary meetings in Alexandria, rather than Las Vegas.
It's the same thing any good manager would've done if he found his P&L sliding.
But Zero is the one who came forth and publicly intimidated private sector companies from going to Las Vegas, specifically.
So, who was it that was being responsible? And who was it that was not?

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reports over 400 conventions and business meetings scheduled to take place in Las Vegas recently have cancelled, translating into 111,800 guests and 250,000 "room-nights," according to a statement from Gibbons. The cancelled events cost the Las Vegas economy over $100 million, not including gaming revenue, the governor said.
"I am disappointed at the hypocrisy shown by this administration," Gibbons said. "President Obama is coming to Las Vegas later this month for a political fundraiser, but he will not help the struggling families in Las Vegas and Nevada who are out of work because of his reckless comments. ***

I don’t know the number, but there are those who say Obama hasn’t been in there long enough to have really made a difference. I ask where the heck have they been because he’s been very busy “changing” America.

Dunno anything about Nevada Politics, but that Channel 5 in Las Vegas got a copy of Obama talking about Vegas conventions.. So I RAISE Dingy Harry’s Memos with on Horse’s Mouth ( wanted to say .. well ..umm nevermind). Can’t wait til tomorrow to see if I upset some applecarts or not.
