Hardware store should have what you need to make your own container.
Buy some organic seeds and get the vacuum seal bags. I have a Reynolds handy vac, bags are like 3 bucks for quart size. The vacuum cost about 6-7 bucks at Walmart. I bought some organic seeds to plant for next year. I'll hang on to my survival seeds until we can get the h#ll out of the city.

Grow lights? Thanks to the Nanny Staters, they already track your electrical usage and look for heat signatures in your house looking for dope growers...

Only now you’ll be growing veggies in your closets instead of dope.

I do not have to go anywhere and do not intend on doing so.

Let the arrogant jerks starve.

There are a bunch of Congress Critters that are in bad need of being drug out in the street and horse whipped.

But it would do not good.

Have they recessed for break? I guess we will have to flame them in their home district offices.

You know what, I just remembered that we have a market square in our downtown area every Saturday morning. All the local farmers (I live in a very rural area) bring their produce, farm eggs, quilts, etc...

Since people are selling these food items...

I still can’t find in the bill where it effects private gardens, but it seems to leave a broad definition for the FDA to seize.

I read the article but don’t understand the specifics of the new law. What are the dangers?

Among many others... increased regulatory burdens (annual registration fees to the USDA, increased meddling, increased bookkeeping costs, and the forced usage of high-tech and high-priced food tracking systems).

From what I can tell, about 60-70% of the local food movement is going to get a painful lesson in the consequences of their voting habits. Leftist lemmings who rail against ConAgra and Monsanto (and with whom I often agree) keep supporting the douches that are handing those corporations control over our food production.

My youngest girl lives on 4 acres with a creek. We’d be going there when the SHTF...I live in Buffalo, NY...I am not staying in the city.

Michelle Bachmann voted for this?

That is a bit out of character for her...

E-mail sent.

I just read that food “facilities” have to test their soil for radiation and such.

How much is food going to increase from this? Not that I want radiation in my food, but you know what I mean.

Good grief! Have been so preoccupied with the Deathcare and Tax and TRade bills that didn’t see this one.

Bet many are in my situation.

I am not set up to do the survivalist thing. Many are not.

But this is Orwellian, Draconian, nightmarish stuff.....

Have a backyard garden? You could be subject to warrantless searchs or not allowed to grow one at all.

The bill that passed does only two things……..it seizes control of food production and supply and then hands it over to big agri-corporations.

The remaining content of the bill is a primer on enforcement……meaning all the powers they have granted themselves to prevent you from claiming Constitutional protections, and enabling them to violate your rights on multiple levels…..all for food safety of course.

Bet on the penalties being the same. Asset forfeiture, no knock raids, etc...

“HR 2749 creates severe criminal and civil penalties, including prison terms of up to 10 years and/or fines of up to $100,000 for each violation for individuals.”

My pleasure.

I am close to this, my family has farmed in Texas for over 110 years, and before that in Alabama and Georgia.

I understand what is happening.

Buy rice, beans, tuna fish, peanut butter. Heck we even bought a bunch of single serve foil packs of spam. We have been hitting the dollar store weekly for the rice and beans.
Hit someplace like Aldis and buy veggies by the case.

Wonder if ole ‘Farmers are our friends’ Willie Nelson and John Cougar Melloncamp will rethink their adoration of the Zero once this madness gets going.
