I’ve been wondering why the townhalls have seemed so one-sided so far. Even in solidly liberal districts the leftys have been laying low.

From what I’ve seen any Obamabots, union thugs and rent-a-mobbers would be massively outnumbered.

These people are cowards. Shoving decent folks and clubbing them with axe handles would make disastrous footage for the dems. Besides, we’re not talking about Obama events here, just dozens upon scores of congresscritters’ townhalls across the fruited plain.

I don’t believe they can gin up the numbers to dominate all these events. They’re not a movement.

In the end, the Left may end up being the other end of a Civil War...but, as they are parasitic (unions, trial lawyers, race baiters, community organizers, etc.) and have nothing to fight for as we pay their bills.

Obama won with close to a million fraudulent votes...the other dummies were duped (20%...hate Bush....Media bias...not real smart...public (Ayers/Marx) educational products).

We will win, we are the good guys.

They will turn out some rent-a-mobsters, don't worry. They will be nasty hard core paid ACORN types. They will send in Americorps stooges on taxpayer time.

The reason they have had no real supporters out there is because the rat constituency already has all the healthcare they need--welfare medicaid users, union thugs with goldplated insurance plans, gubbermint employees ditto. They don't need to lift a finger--they gots theirs and Obammy ain't gonna take it away fum dem, no way!

Why do people assume, even on FR, that all the people at these townhalls or even at the tea parties, are Republicans? Or all Conservatives. They are not. A lot of them are Democrats. They are people who have read the bills, unlike Congress, and don't like what they see. Some of them are there because this is not what they voted for. To think otherwise is ideological, and not everyone is.

I’m listening in to a telephone town hall with Mike Thompson right now (D-CA, 1st district). It is nothing but a filibuster. You can’t interrupt with another question and the callers getting to ask questions are meek and docile. Each answer is a filibuster. The callers are screened; Thompson just said so in response to a supposed doctor who just fell all over Thompson praising him for his leadership, blah, blah, blah.. Thompson noted that the screener isn’t there at his location as though he didn’t know what the call was about.
