I think Rush hit the nail on the head. Privately AARP has told Obama they support his plan. Publicly they are not ready to say so. Obama let the cat out of the bag early and AARP is now scrambling.

Obama has already said he he will cut $500 billion in Medicare and unless he has a magic heal-all pill then services will be cut for the seniors and given to the 20 million illegal aliens.

I get confused between “congenital liar” and “pathological liar”, but Obama is one or the other, or both.

THE larger issue is that American voters should feel insulted that Obama thinks they are so gullible as to believe that there is a health care free lunch. Also his administration will know what is better for you than your doctor.
In an interview with New York Times columnist David Leonhardt, Obama named an operation that maybe his administration would not cover: the hip replacement given to his grandmother after she was diagnosed with cancer.
Her doctor believed that the 86-year-old Madelyn Dunham only had three to nine months to live, but that without the operation, her quality of life would be terrible. Dunham had the hip replacement and then died within weeks.
(In strict seclusion just a couple of days before the November 4th, 2008 election!)
Obama said: "Whether, sort of in the aggregate, society making those decisions to give my grandmother, or everybody else's aging grandparents or parents, a hip replacement when they're terminally ill is a sustainable model is a very difficult question. So that's where I think you just get into some very difficult moral issues. But that's also a huge driver of cost."
Obama suggested a conversation that is guided by doctors, scientists, ethicists.
Be it noted Dunham's doctor thought the surgery was in her best interest, and Dunham apparently agreed. That seems like conversation enough for me.
Obama also said that under his reform, government will stay out of health care decisions.
But then how can Washington cut health care costs as promised? Obama care isn't an easy-to-fill prescription for the half the price of the blue pill. The real product under the safety cap is snake oil.

Dear: Mr.,Mrs., Miss, Ms.,....I regret to inform you that based upon our sliding scale and my personal professional assessment of your particular situation, I have come to the conclusion that you have been denied care based on the current heavy volume in our system.
-Have a nice day!

Thanks for the info. I had my Mom send this out to all four AARP addys:
We now know you are shills for the Obama Administration. The only way you will learn NOT to mess with our Individual Liberty is if it hits you right where it hurts...in the pocket book. I agree and it makes me wonder how big of a percentage dropped AARP over the past few weeks? Apparently it was large enough to make them back pedal quickly!
