What John McCain, Charles Krauthammer and a bunch of our Conservative politicians recommended — separate insurance from employment.

This will have a double advantage - it will also make the insurance companies more responsive to free market pressures from consumers without the middleman.

In addition to separating insurance from employment there has to be the ability for individuals to pool so that they can bargain as a block. Eliminate state borders on insurance sales. Also there should probably be some high risk pool where the government like for auto insurance.

Insurance companies should be required to disclose their payment schedules to doctors and hospitals, and details of policies.

This socialization is merely one finger on the hand reaching into our wallets dervish, who can forget TARP, GM, Chrysler etc?

While Conservatives are saying “open markets/low regulations” the benficiaries of that are saying “more taxpayer’s monies please”.

Philosophically, we are making ourselves beggars at our own funeral, Multinational Corporations have no problem either outsourcing or taking Taxpayer subsidies, at what point is that examined and a conclusion drawn?
