Ask it the proper way. Would Jesus want us to vote for a government to do what WE should be doing so that we don’t have to get our hands dirty? Liberals define generosity and compassion by how much of other peoples’ money they are willing to spend on THEIR projects.

Just like when they lost in 2004 and they all jumped in front of cameras and started quoting bible verses, these people are insulting the intelligence of the voters but I’m not sure they’ll get away with it this time.

I think the testimony of Jesus, and the Church, is that, indeed, Jesus would want healing for any and all who sought it. Not only that, but a free people who worship God will develop their talents in such a way that those who are inclined to be the healing hands of Jesus on earth will be schooled in the healing arts. They will freely bring their skills into the marketplace where those in need of them can find them. They will exchange something of value for them - if free to do so. The poor will find that people of good will seeking to provide what is missing in the exchange for good of all.

I don't see a monlithic "single-payer" in that testimony anywhere. I do see that the abandomnent of religion will necessitate the rise of a "Leviathan," which has always been understood to be secular state of limitless ambition to control, which drives civilization into a miserable, murderous chaos, in which state the world finds itself in when Jesus returns.

Next question?

Does he mean the Jesus that was put to death by the Government that had imposed itself on Israel, enslaved the Jews and was headed by a self-appointed Emperor in Rome; that Jesus?

While we're at it would Jesus also want state funded abortion on demand and euthenasia as part of His healthcare reform.
