Someone should refer to CAN-SPAM, the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography And Marketing Act of 2003.
As a marketer, I take great care in providing double-opt-in to ensure that people signing up for my email lists truly intend to hear from me — especially so, since there are criminal implications for sending unsolicited emails. Perhaps someone should make a case against Obama’s Spam Czar?
