Just wait until the UN Rights of the Child Treaty becomes a part of US Law.

Children will have the “right” to “information” (ie, pornography),

they will have the “right” to choice of religion (ie, I don’t want to go to church and you can’t make me)

they will have the “right” of association (Dad, I’m going out with my head to toe pierced & tattooed boyfriend and I’m going to stay all night at his house and you can’t stop me.)

"In the Sheeple’s Republic of FloriDUH, the goobers removed the “She lied about her age” defense."

Kids need a law degree before they start dating these days.

I wonder what a judge would rule if some girl pulled an Obama, and refused to produce her birth certificate? Obama may have made that defense valid again.

Once they saw their daughter wasn't in his car, they had no business touching him. They went to far. There was no reason that they had to detain the person. He was no longer an immediate threat, or perceived threat to their daughter.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

They had every right, morally and legally, to detain him. They had direct, first-hand knowledge of his intent to commit a felony involving their 14 year-old daughter. Detaining him ensures that he will be charged with a crime.

The daughter's absence from his vehicle negates only the threat of imminent bodily harm to their daughter. It does not negate the perceived future threat he posed to their daughter and many other young girls. Using his car as a deadly weapon against the father was also enough legal reason to make a citizen's arrest.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?

And how DARE you call me a terrible parent. I'm just not a STUPID parent is all.

I didn't call you a terrible parent. I put very specific stipulations on that comment.

In fact, this girls parents are the terrible parents.

You make all kinds of assumptions about these parents and this girl without knowing much of anything about the situation.

It sounds like you did a good job with your daughters. Congratulations on that.

As for me, I'll never be foolish enough to think that I know everything my daughter is doing on the computer, no matter how many parental controls I have in place, whether that's software monitoring or direct supervision. I hope I raise her well enough that she doesn't make the stupid decision to meet a guy at a park to be in a movie. But if she does and I find out about it in time to stop her, you can bet I will and that the intentional or unintentional pervert will be detained until the police can arrive to sort out the details.

>So was it lawful to beat this guy up? NO. And I’m I happy it happened? Kind of. And that makes me sad.

And is it lawful that we have ‘protected’ classes of people, as you mentioned pedophiles... but what about congressmen?
The Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land, says “Nay, it is not lawful! Every Citizen is to enjoy the same protection under the law!”

I saw the last Rambo twice in the theaters including once with my friend’s Thai gf who hid under the seat because it hit too close to home. What Stallone should do is make a few sequels or even an A-team style TV series starring that bad ass group of mercs. My favorite scene in the movie is when that British SF guy is screaming at the General. You really knew you weren’t watching a typical Hollywood production after that scene—ok maybe the part where Rambo rips the rapists throat out was a clue as well. And then when ol’ Johnny is up there raining hot death with the 50cal—that was some serious wrath of God stuff. Anyway I could watch 10 movies starring Rambo & Friends even if Stallone only made a cameo. The only thing that was lame about Rambo IV was the location/villians. Burma? Come on send Rambo back to Afghanistan to play goat polo and kick Al Qaeda ass. Also I missed Richard Crenna telling everybody that Rambo eats things that could make a billy goat puke.

I agree with your assessment - it was a good film. No PC bullsh*t! Loved the part where Johnny decapitates the screw. AWESOME!!!

I was sort of hoping Johnny would have done something to the Brit that was busting his balls though, he had it coming, at least up to that point. A spin-off with the mercs would be fun, for sure.

The Crenna angle is another reason I don't want a Rambo 5. One film without him (OK there was a 2 second flashback) worked. More than one film - I just don't think so. Trautman is needed, and no one can fill those boots.
