But that is between the family and a private doctor not the federal government involvement which is where I draw the line.

My parents had living wills and powers of attorney but the federal government didn’t come in and say no more healthcare as you are too old or disabled.

Huge difference. Like comparing an apple and an orange.

I do not disagree with you. I only pointed out that the VA has a tool that is useful. It is not mandatory. It is no different than the questionairres that doctors offices give to families.

I am not in favor of any government involvment in health care and you will never find a place where I have said that I am.
