Normally you will see ocean shallow waters warm up during summer time due to increased amounts of Infrared light. That is exactly what happened this summer. There has also been some unusual hot spots on the Eastern Russian coastline that may indicate underwater volcanic activity. The Southern Hemisphere waters are cold (Unisys data) and that is what you would normally expect during winter time. What I suspect is happening is that the warming folks were expecting El Nino to scream and it is a dud. So they went and took some average data to hype warming. They apparently need the hype to extort money from the populace later this year. Bottom line is that with warm water, why is the Atlantic Hurricane season weak ? Hurricanes need warm water. If you look at the Unisys data the Atlantic water between the Caribbean and the East Coast of Africa is slightly cool. NASA and NOAA can no longer be trusted. This northern hemisphere winter will be the final nail in their coffins.
