Howard Dean to Join Rep. Moran for Town Hall on Health Care Reform Efforts
This event is for residents of Virginia's 8th District only.
When: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 7:00PM - 9:00PM --Doors open at 6:00PM
Where: South Lakes High School, Gymnasium 11400 South Lakes Dr. Reston, Virginia
What: Town Hall meeting hosted by Rep. Jim Moran featuring Governor Howard Dean, M.D., former Governor of Vermont, Democratic National Committee Chair Emeritus, author, and national grassroots leader on health care. The meeting will discuss current efforts in Congress to reform our nations health care system.
Why: Congress is attempting to craft the first major reform of our nations health care system in 45 years. With over 47 million Americans uninsured, medical costs rising everyday, and obtaining quality insurance coverage becoming more and more difficult, the time for action has come.
Congressman Moran has invited Dr. Dean to speak at this forum in Northern Virginia, to reflect upon the current effort given his years of experience as a leading health care expert, governor and physician. The town hall will be an opportunity for the Congressman to hear from 8th District constituents on health care, and to clarify what the reform measures in the Congress really mean for Northern Virginians.
*This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, available on a first come first serve basis.
How stupid is having the cheese brain from the Peoples Republic of Vermont come to Virginia?
Moran is a coward and a loon - having Dean there is his hope to appear not as nuts as he really is...see my above - I SO hope one of them loses it!!!
drove by the school yesterday, they have big electric sign saying expect delays tonight. I was going to go, but I am not sure if it is a good thing for my job. Reston is a liberal stink hole, that i have lived in for the past 20 years.
I drove by the school last night, they have big traffic electric sign saying expect delays tonight. I am going to try and make it, although with Dean there, I am not sure I want to go.
I hope both get a new one ripped.
Organizing for America is trying to pack this meeting. Wear a blue shirt and infiltrate!

Negative people have been getting to these events early. Let’s make sure there is a strong positive presence. Please arrive AT 5:00 PM at:
The South Lakes High School Auditorium (Reston, VA) 11400 South Lakes Drive Reston, VA 20191
We want to show we all stand together on health insurance reform! We look forward to seeing you there!
I notice that day by the number of ‘uninsured Americans’ seems to be creeping up ... 43, 44, 45, 46, now 47 Millions.
The source of the 40+ million number is known and clearly includes illegal immigrants - yet they still try to tell us that they don’t intend to cover illegals.
You can’t have both, you schmucks. You either have to admit you want to cover illegals, or quit using the over-inflated numbers that do in fact include them.
They think we are idiots.
The Organizing for America crowd so outnumbered sane people, I couldn’t hang around. Couldn’t find my husband, the throngs of Utopians were nauseating. There were a few small clusters of card carrying Americans there against, but not nearly enough. Cell phone told me my husband and an associate of his got in....I knew I wouldn’t be able to, so I just gave up and came home. Will fix myself a stinking sandwich to celebrate my 47th anniversary alone!
Jim Geraghty a blogger on NATIONAL REVIEW is tweeting the town hall and it is hilarious! —

The best thing about liberals is that they can dish it out but they can’t take it.
I feel sorry for the poor female medical student who said she waNTS A SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM. POOR GIRL IS ‘YOUNG AND DUMB”. IT WILL NEVER WORK
My husband said the 25% of conservatives inside were loud and strong, and they made such noise Dean didn't get to speak at all. Then Moran said something about those people not belonging here.... that probably made lots of people mad. I wish I had gotten inside, but it wasn't going to happen.
I will say that Hannity's report was biased. No question about that. He never mentioned the huge "organized" crowd, or the percentage that were there FOR national health now. That was also depressing to see. Had I not been there myself, I would have thought from his reporting that conservatives were at least equal in number and that just wasn't the case. I'm going to email him about that.
There are these Leftwingtards around who imagine that Moran's 8th District has no Conservatives, and certainly not around Reston! Oh, my gosh no ~ (just choc a bloc full of CIA and Air Force Intelligence personnel).
His staffers are so stupid.
I watched him 'splain his personal medical care plan to the crowd, and this "tough guy" who roams the streets of Arlandria at night roughing up the Hispanic hookers LOOKED SCARED. I've never seen Moran show fright. Was it that he couldn't answer the question, or he doesn't want to answer it, or he too is afraid of losing it.
The best thing about liberals is that they can dish it out but they can’t take it.
