Senator Ted Kennedy has died.
I’ll look forward to throwing one in a fountain or well. Or off a bridge.
thanks - that could have been his lowest moment....well, ONE of them.......
I went to a graduation where he was the speaker - he started out by ripping President Bush - the 1000 people in attendance began booing - he threw those papers down and spoke no more against the President.
Kennedy smears President Bush and our troops on the US Senate floor:
He described the Iraq war as a fraud “made up in Texas” as part of political strategy — accused the President of the US of “telling lie, after lie, after lie”, in order to go to war in Iraq.
It will have his head on one side (With a neck brace collar) and an Oldsmobile on the other.

What about stating the truth? That should be allowed, even in the wake of a public person's death. Especially if that person did repulsing things.

Couldn’t disagree more about the ‘great’ designation. He was born into a very famous, wealthy, politically steeped family. That is not what makes one ‘great.’ Certainly not in God’s eyes. The Scripture is clear on this matter.

I think we all understand human emotion regarding someone who has committed vile acts. I don't desire that for anyone beyond this life. Neither does God. That was why He came and walked among us as a human being. That was why He died. He lives.
And now we will get treated to a sickening barrage of MSM’s accolades to this disgusting monster of a man. May justice be meted out to you now, Teddy, you pig.
He also died surrounded by his family. Mary Jo never had the chance to do the same.

There is sort of an unsaid FR rule not to speak unkindly of the recently departed, but I hope Ted Kennedy rots in hell.
Hmmm... you make an interesting point. Obama is on Martha's Vineyard now, not far from Ted's Hyannisport compound, and right next to Chappaquiddick Island.
Of course, you cannot compare the two. Now Ted Kennedy is dead.
When I first heard, I remembered back to that time in 1968. And then I remembered sitting in an Italian restaurant, all of us were watching Ted Kennedy – it must have been the 1980 Democratic National Convention in New York. I think he was congratulating President Carter. If I recall he was announcing his own campaign had come to an end.
So I decided to go find that speech, and I did.

…. Well, now he’s passed. And I also remember a bridge, and a car, and a girl.
I guess they will probably try to name the “Health Care Bill” after him. I wonder if that plan is going to be the same plan where “whenever senators and representatives catch a little cold, the Capitol physician will see them immediately” … I guess the Congress and the President will all be on the same plan as everybody else. I am a part of all that I have met. I actually met Ted Kennedy once, in D.C., he was walking down the sidewalk, no security. I already told that story once, and being now that he passed, I won’t tell it again. Humor has a time and place.
But mostly barf inducing fawning and hero worship.
But never ONCE did they mention Chappaquiddick.
