Ted Kennedys Legacy,Lion Of the Senate? Read this and you Decide
Rush Limbaugh article | From Rush Limbaugh article

First, “Our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same. Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset. Contrary to the charges in some quarters, the bill will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia — and in the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think.”

The reformer then assured the Senate and the country and the media, quote, “The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs,” and if that weren’t enough, the reformer, the man who started this whole thing with Hart-Seller, the Immigration Nationality Services Act of 1965 and who is today leading the charge to reform his own error, to reform his own failure, to reform his own disaster, said, “No immigrant visa will be issued to a person who is likely to become a public charge.” All right, do you think you know who this is?

The reformer who wants to reform that which he reformed is Senator Ted Kennedy

God rest him.

I think he went through life feeling exceedingly guilty about his privileged position in life and, therefore, helped enact dozens of bills that turned America into a nation of welfare recipients from everywhere.

His work with black folk was commendable with the Civil rights acts of the 1960s. But the legislation he espoused in subsequent years turned African Americans into government wards.

Guilt is a terrific motivator. Sometimes bad things happen when you surrender to it.

Then, of course, there is Chappaquiddick. For many Americans, that will be his epitaph.

Ted Kennedy on immigration through the years:

“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants.
It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society.
It will not relax the standards of admission.
It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” (1965)

“This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens.
We will secure the borders hence forth.
We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this.” (1986)

“Now it is time for action. 2007 is the year we must fix our broken system.” (2007)

His power derived from the unwillingness of Conservatives to challenge him and his ideas forcefully.
When he overstated the conditions he sought to remedy, nobody stepped forward to challenge his assertions.
On occasion when challenges occurred, they were too meek and lacked persistence.

If he felt that guilty, I believe he would have used more of his own personal fortunate to help those less privileged rather than giving the bill to taxpayers. But, that is my understanding how Ted operated. I remember in an interview with David Brinkley before his death, that Brinkley stated that if you ever sat down with the Kennedy's at a restaurant, they would leave you with the bill.

oh, please........while we cannot judge him let’s take a look at his history......cheated in college, left a girl for dead in the water and ran to save his career, faked injury afterward, a drunk, led his nephew in partying that got him charged with rape, promotes the death of unborn and partially born babies, ......yeah, poor Ted is just misunderstood. and let’s not forget that when his senate work wasn’t ruining America fast enough he tried to run for president......now at last he has his useful tool in place, while on his deathbed he wants to cheat the system and get his replacement named immediately.

You could read his mind, could you?

Guilt?

More like insufferable arrogance and in inbred hatred for democracy and American values.

His father was a prime supporter of Hitler, and nothing this man has ever done has shown any allegiance to our great country, our values, or our decency.

When you speak graciously of evil, then you are condoning evil.

“Socialism hasn’t worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didn’t have me to run it.” - Ted Kennedy
And despite all his efforts to the contrary, it never worked in America either. Even with him as the Jackal of the Senate trying his best to implement it. May God have mercy on his soul...but we are better as a nation with him permanenetly out of that position of power and influence.

Now we have Barrack Hussein Obama and his ilk, who will surely try to use the death of this old, corrupt man, to push through the biggest socialization effort in American history - ObamaCare.

We cannot let it happen. Stand firm, speak out, lean into their storm of word and ideologies...and push them back.

Kennedy was the ‘consummate politician’. He was an elitist. He was arrogant. He may have had a guilt complex. He may have tried to do what was right. Whatever he was as a man, a husband and a father, I do not know, but as ‘the politician’, he was a disaster beyond measure for our Nation.

With that said, may he rest in peace.
