(NECN: Dorchester, Mass.) - The reigning Republican leader as the party's 2008 presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), joined those speaking at the memorial service for Senator Edward M. Kennedy -- a Democrat.

Sen. McCain has lauded Kennedy's bipartisan efforts and, in death, labeled him as "irreplacable" in the United States Senate.

"He was the most reliable, the most prepared and the most persistent member of the Senate. He took the long view -- he never gave up," Sen. McCain said. "He taught me to be a better senator."

When the Senate resumes following its summer recess on after Labor Day, Sen. McCain said he will try harder to apply the lessons taught him by Sen. Kennedy.

He surely needs put out to pasture. I think he thinks he has the next election all sewed up.

Immigration reform? Is that why Arizona has the 2nd highest incidents of crime from illegals? Great job there senator. (Johnny boy)

These Senators are like a pack of dogs just milling around sniffing each other’s butts. McCain is one of the more contemptible sniffers!

Does anyone of the blind faithful in the OP now accept the fact the the party has abandon Conservative values and merged with the socialist RATS to form one big Republicrat party?

At a memorial service, gentlemen speak respectfully of the dead. Unsurprisingly a concept lost on the ron paul brigade.

Sen. John McCain (D-Ariz.)has lauded Kennedy’s bipartisan efforts and, in death, labeled him as “irreplacable” in the United States Senate.

That may well be John. But the same cannot be said of you.

In my opinion, the worst thing that can be heard from any Republican Senator is “ my esteemed friend on the other side of the aisle...”
They should have NO friends on the other side; they represent nothing I can vote for or seriously believe in.
Higher taxes, more government spending, more intrusion into my life. How can you be friends with someone who believes in that?

Sen. McCain said he will try harder to apply the lessons taught him by Sen. Kennedy.

So, McShame, it takes a socialist to show you 'the way'. Aren't you a little old, 73, to not know right from wrong? Or where you trying your best to give the 'boldest' eulogy by a$$ kissing?

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

May the good voters of Arizona show you what the country thinks of you.

No one will argue about that.

Do you think it's respectful to lie and give accolades that are above and beyond? To call evil actions, good?

Agree . Totally smells of “ sell out “ . Glenn Beck has got these RINO traitors - like McAsspain - pegged . People must understand that it’s not only the RATS that must be fought against ! The so called “ Repubs “ , for the most part , are no better ! GO !

labeled him as "irreplacable" in the United States Senate. Fine. Then don't replace him. The other 49 states would be better served with MA only having 1 senator.

>>>Do you think it’s respectful to lie and give accolades that are above and beyond? To call evil actions, good?

Except of course nothing of the kind occurred.

Quoting Mccain, “He was the most reliable, the most prepared and the most persistent member of the Senate. He took the long view — he never gave up,” Sen. McCain said. “He taught me to be a better senator.”

What there is untrue ? Teddy was 100% reliable, to his side. Doggedly persistent and well prepared, for his side. He took the long view, for his side. Qualities that if applied would certainly make him or her a better senator, for our side.

There is a time and a place for politics, and civility. Huckabee is blasting Teddy, and this is proper because he isn’t speaking at the memorial. Mccain praises Teddy, and this is proper because he is speaking at the memorial.

And the petty Mccain derangement of this thread speaks volumes. But whats new about that.

IF you think speaking out against evil is a derangement, that speaks volumes about YOU!! When a righteous man sees how good is considered evil and evil is considered good - it is time to speak up and out! You got a problem w/that?

McCain is/has been nothing but a pawn for the libs - and w/his 'wanting to be liked' by the opposition that is widely known, they are more than willing to use his flaw for their agenda.

When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.

It most certainly did. The only way one could not see it did occur is being blinded to the truth. Because you can't see it doesn't mean it didn't occur.

To quote my 2 year old grandson, again, when I had on ABC and they were going on and on about Teddy and Kennedy legacy,....his words were “ewwwww, yuck”.

I think that sums it up.....
