Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "Lie! You lie," at President Barack Obama during Wednesday's address to a joint session of Congress

EArnign priase from millions of Americans. After all, he simply stated the truth. Obama lies, Granny dies. Babies too. And that's the plan.

Yeah, but decorum required the apology whether you agree with it or not...the real message here is the difference in class.

Yes, but he also missed two opportunities...

1) Mention that Obama used the word "lie" first and directed it specifically at Sarah Palin
2) Mention that Obama did in fact lie about ObamaCare not covering illegal immigrants. It will. It is a lie.

Thanks for the link to Boner. I am disgusted with Republicans who will not take a stand against the growing tyranny.

He apologized for his procedural breach. Wrong time and place. Not for the content.

JW broke the democrat civility rule- In order for a Congressperson to call the US president a liar or worse, he/she should hold a press conference either in the US Capitol, or while abroad in a foreign capital

While McCain was wildly applauding the liar, JW should have scratched his chin or cheek with his middle finger.

Why the hell should conservatives apologize for anything?

Leave it to the RINOs!

What in the hell is wrong with Republicans? Why in the hell are they apologizing? This is political stupidity

That’s the way I feel. It’s disgusting.....sit back and let the dims walk all over them.....then rush to attack one of their own. Absolutely disgusting.

Well, I don’t see anything in the details about “both sides” here. McCain does not represent the other side. He’s too busy reaching across the aisle and pandering to the presstitutes.

"While McCain was wildly applauding the liar..."

And people wonder why McSkidmark lost?

That is true, but the essence of an apology is to show regret for your actions, not to justify them...that is what Democrats always try to do.

What Joe Wilson did was good and proper....not that I regret in any way the fact that he said what he said when he said it.

Remember also, most of those Republicans who are showing their outrage are jumping up and down cheering inside...John McCain excepted.

He shouldn’t have aplogized at all. The Democrats did the same thing to Bush (and others) and nobody apologized for it. They thought they were heroes for doing it.

It’s amazing how whiny liberal babies get when they get a taste of their own medicine. Well, boo hoo.

I’m so sick of the obsequiousness. It sickens me. The key to power is laying before them and they pick it up only to throw it down. Why do these guys even run for Congress if not to lead? Do they think they are joining a home shopping club? They don’t even no how to apologize correctly in these cases which is to offer an apology that isn’t one at all. I don’t know I’m just so tired. Its like bad sex. Just when you think you are going to get gratified, “oops oh I’m sorry honey”. Republicans should learn something about follow through and leadership. I’m proud of most of the people we have up there but they need to have more staying power. Too bad there isn’t some political viagra for them.
Such a disappointment. Obama is on the ropes. There is no cost to them for keeping up the attack. Sarah Palin is still the one light unashamed to speak the truth against the beast.

On another note John McCain should shut the hell up if he can’t get the hell over his beat down in Vietnam and step up. I defended him but his rush to apologize was the last straw for me. Sometimes it is better to just shut up if you don’t know how to lead like a man. The one thing that keeps a lot of people from being Republicans is the infernal obsequiousness of people like John McCain.

Republicans always act like the adults in these situations. Yes it is a double standard. Democrats are like teenagers and conservatives are the parents- part of the reason they hate us.

Either you obey the rules of decorum or you have anarchy. We are a society of laws...it is what allows people to live together without killing each other.

The alternative of anarchy is a recipe for disaster and despotism.

No matter how much you (and I) agree with Joe Wilson, what he did was wrong and he knew that as soon as he did it...that is the difference between us and the savages against whom we are fighting.

Like I said before:

I am glad Wilson said what he did, when he did. “O” can certainly use a dose of reality!
Besides, any guy who sits down in front of an a%$ clown like “Rev. Wright” for 20 years and takes THAT kind of lunatic rant without blinking, can certainly survive a duly elected representative of the American voters calling him what he IS!

One of the few. Alan Keyes is another. I wonder why even conservative media won't invite Dr. Keyes (who is brilliant) on to dissect DumBO. Are they afraid he will show them up?

I agree. If you are going to apologize then apologize in an in your face fashion. I’m sorry for being loud but not for being right. This is an example of the lack of testosterone in Washington D.C. Too many faggots and man-women setting the standard.
