Yes, this is a vanity, but I seriously want to know the answer to this question:
Where was then-state-senator Barack Obama on September 11, 2001?
Not looking for a smart-aleck answer. This is a serious question for which I hope there are serious answers.
On Sept. 11, 2001, Barack Obama was driving to a state legislative hearing in Chicago when he heard the first sketchy reports of a plane hitting the World Trade Center on his car radio. The 40-year-old state senator spent the afternoon in his law office watching "nightmare images" of destruction and grief unfold on TV.
Within days, he'd issued a statement about what the nation should do next.
Beyond the immediate needs to improve security and dismantle "organizations of destruction," Obama wrote, lay the more difficult job of "understanding the sources of such madness." He wrote of "a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers," of "embittered children" around the world, of the seeds of discontent sown in poverty, ignorance and despair.
The nuanced musings of an obscure state senator, Obama's statement never even made the big Chicago dailies.

Exactly. Time served, in my case three years and my brother 6, was not enough to allow us back in because we were both near or over 50 so we wouldn't have enough time to get to 20 by the time we had to retire. I'm the older one BTW. But better looking. LOL

On February 27th, speaking to Kristof of The New York Times, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”
In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent.”
The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada:

if Obeyme had put half the emotion in his speech today from the one he gave the other he just might come across as believable. He stunk at it today.If he thought he fooled people by his “sincerity” he is surely mistaken. Not one word of his rang true today, and yes that is my perception
Come this Sunday he will be on 60 Gagging Minutes and then another speech on finance that very Monday.
