NOpe, I’m not falling for that liberal political correctness/that’s racist! garbage!! Sometimes a boy is just a boy (and this WAS a kid, which I believe is what Mr. Jones meant, and not something racial) and a girl is just a girl—when I was a teacher in an inner city school years ago, I would tell kids getting in trouble, “Girl, you need to settle down now before I have to send you to the office!” Or
“Boy, how many times have I asked you to bring your homework to school EVERY day?!?” I used it with white kids, black kids, hispanic kids— nothing racial about it, just a way of speaking that’s been co-opted by the left as ‘racist’...just like they did the comment by John McCain about “that one” when he pointed out HolyO’s liberal background during a debate!
I think if the rally was full of racists, there would be tape after tape of people using the N-word casually—even Mr. Jones, as he follows these ACORN operatives around until they actually leave the rally, NEVER used the N-word on camera...saying boy to a kid who is deceiving decent Americans—not so much racist as descriptive, IMO.
Now if Mr. Jones had been speaking to a full grown elderly black man and said ‘boy’, yes, I think that would have been racist. But this WAS a kid/teen, and it WAS a boy. Nothing racist about calling him a boy in that case.
“NOpe, Im not falling for that liberal political correctness/thats racist! garbage!! ...”
I’ve never been accused of being PC or liberal. :)
Look, I’m not saying he meant it that way. I give the man the benefit of doubt.
What I’m saying is that all of us know by now that you don’t call a black male “boy”, even if he is literally a boy.
You have see why this kid’s mother would get upset. It’s nice to say that “boy” wasn’t used in a bad way. She doesn’t know that. And there are certain things that push logic out the window and emotion into the forefront.
This isn’t a video I would show my friends as an example of someone on the other side assaulting a 912-er. No way.
