The federal government should review all tax returns prepared by ACORN tax preparers (and all loan applications prepared by ACORN -- but that is a separate review process).
The IRS launched a VITA program to arrange for volunteer tax preparers to assist the poor last year -- ACORN working with IRS established 80 such centers: During the 2008 tax season, ACORN connected more than 42,000 families to over $46 million in tax refunds, including over $28 million in earned income and child tax credits.
The Augean stables comes to mind.
Not going to happen as long as their buddy is in the White House.
I seem to remember some Republicans on a House committee asking for tax return information from several prominent televangelists.
Maybe its time the did the same for ACORN.
It won’t happen with the ones we have in charge now.
Only way to make this happen is for a large number of conservatives to state that we won’t be filing our taxes next spring until we see the results of that investigation. In light of all the tax cheats that have surfaced in Obama’s hiring, and now the ACORN scandals, it’s getting old being the only people actually paying taxes in this country. Let’s stop paying until we get an investigation. Just the threat/discussion will get their attention. Of course, with commie Holder running Justice, we’ll have a scam investigation, so we’ll have to figure a way around that.

I don’t believe the IRS would go after a leftist group no matter WHO was in the White House. The org is infected with leftists, just as any gov’t agency is.
And leftists have a “anything goes” attitude about getting/keeping leftists in power. ACORN is a very powerful group for accomplishing that end.
Right now Fox is reporting that ACORN is threatening to sue them for reporting on the video tapes.
Won’t they go after ACORN opponents instead?
(Didn’t the Clinton administration used to do that?)
Obviously, for this, nobody has the necessary manpower. But the great number of the “toxic” home loans in our system, that is poisoning the entire financial structure of America, tied to the fraudulent tax returns upon which many of these “liar’s loans” were based, was the trigger that began the Lehman Brothers meltdown, and with that, the whole row of dominos.
Expect this, too, to be swept beneath the rug. There is a physical limit to how much may be disposed of in this manner.
