but can we really call serena all these names for relatively the same thing wilson did? serena did it during a sporting event. kanye was a little off the charts but it was the MTV awards so no one really cares.

I may be misinformed, but I keep hearing the words "profanity-laced tirade" in reference to Williams. I don't recall Wilson calling Obam an "effing" liar.

all i was saying was that it needs to be kept in perspective.

doesn't serena yelling cuss words during a rowdy sporting event pretty much equal a congressman yelling anything out at the president during a speech?

again, i don't really have a problem with either outburst. but why condemn one and not the other? and can we admit that if some democrat had yelled that exact thing at Bush, we'd be going nuts?

“Yes, all those scientists, researchers, doctors, and engineers the black “community” produces are so valuable that we should tolerate their violence and oafishness.”

Yes one look at the technical achievements of Africa where they are left to their own devices is Impressive\s

Frankly, I think it was in poor taste for Wilson to yell "you lie" during Zero's speech. Boorish behavior is boorish no matter who does it. My main objection is that it gives Ammo to the MSM Pravda to say BS like "Republicans cannot show respect because they are racists, blah, blah, blah". Even though the 'rats did that kind of crap during several of W's speeches, Wilson should have know he would not get equal treatment.

At least his outburst was not "laced with profanity".

“Is misrepresenting your place of birth an impeachable offense? “

Hell yea, it’s impeachable. If the Kenyan was born in Mobassa, he is not a natural American citizen and ineligible to be president.

The is a court case on this issue in CA in January. If all goes right, the Kenyan Impostor is going to have to produce a birth certificate. If he can’t - which he can’t because he doesn’t have one - he has to leave office.

Yeah, he lives in a 12’ hut in Kenya and lives on about $15 a year - and he’s real proud of his brother, the prez.

The family mentality is evident.

They are both embarrassing. I don't know why anyone would excuse Serena's rude behavior. Playing under pressure isn't an excuse to launch into a profanity laced tirade, filled with threats. She is supposed to be a professional. She was called for a foot fault, and instead of recognizing her error she screamed at the line judge "If I could, I would take this fu&^*ng ball and shove it down your fu&^*ng throat!"

She should be suspended for at least one year, and that thug Kanye should be banned forever from the MTV awards. These two are a disgrace.

I guess they represent the Obama presidency quite appropriately.

If politics is war by other means, then Wilson made a tactical strike in front of the whole country and it had maximum effect.

Absolutely, it was the best political strike I've seen by a republican do since Reagan wouldn't bring up Mondale's youth and inexperience.

The president has been a boor in all his speeches, calling the Republicans liars, telling them they have no more right to speak (as they caused the mess). Turn about is fair play.

“The solution, of course, is for the majority to simply say enough is enough, and declare a personal code of decency: “I will not stoop to smear and slur, won’t interrupt a speaker, won’t call anyone a Nazi, won’t do to others what they’ve done to me.” Only that sort of code will end the craziness.”

I’ve always respected Hanson, agreed with him almost all the time, but reading this I just have to say:

Hanson, you fool, you fool, you fool. Do you fail to understand even at this late date what vile, capital E Evil scum you are dealing with?

The only thing that will end the craziness is to hammer the leftards into the ground like tent pegs, deprive them of all influence in public life, all credibility, all power.

And in that effort, civility is just a self-imposed handicap.

Good points.

I see the Serena and Kanye West "meltdowns" as two different issues:
a. Object of rage: Kanye attacked a young girl, someone less "powerful," Serena did not.
b. Motive for rage:Kanye had not motive other than a sociopathic rage that he was not the center of attraction while Serena felt, right or wrong, she had been stiffed.
c. Physical violence: Kanye became physical, and by this he took the confrontation to an entirely different level.

“right or wrong, she had been stiffed”

Probably right. I met Ilie Nastase once, and he said that the calls MacEnroe and the others complained about really were bad calls.

Still, bad form. Could we get a little dignity back into sports?
