Seriously, who in his right mind would go $250,000 in debt to become an overworked, underpaid, state-controlled physician? Folks, we may be looking at some truly bizarre “alternatives” indeed!
Perhaps we can revert to the old Communist Chinese soluton, untrained "barefoot physicians" using whatever superstitions they happened to believe in at the time. They went from village to village inadvertently killing and poisoning people with their "folk Cures" and their quotations from chairman Mao.
