From the list of who he is suing IMHO I’d say: “Yes”.

As aside, at the link page down to “Teacher Sex Scandal Pic’s”. Olde ones but good ones.

How close is Waukegan to this place? Could it be the same guy? IS a retired FF getting a "perk" deal from the local police to carry a sidearm? Or is it just same name, wrong dude? Just wondering out loud?

The twit had his finger on the trigger when he re-holstered the gun.

It will happen every time.

I wish I could see the whole rig this guy was wearing. He is suing four different companies so I assume he is suing every piece of gear that was attached to the holster. I'm wonder why he isn't suing Glock?

Personally I have carried a glock in a couple concealed rigs, but never a duty holster. Most modern duty holsters would make this accident virtually impossible unless something else got in the holster.

According to the man, the holster strap actually shot the weapon. He was an innocent bystander.

:-)

Glock provides a trigger safety as you know. You cannot compromise your hand without cause. You will shoot yourself in the leg if you do.

Shouldn’t MORE idiots be shot? [/semi-sarc]

Oh, Glocks are chock full of safeties. You can throw it against the wall, drop it, hammer a nail with it. Just don’t pull the trigger...

The most dangerous thing you do with a Glock is to holster it. Most Glock owners know this and take precautions.

I actually know two individuals who have shot themselves in the leg reholstering Glocks into Kydex holsters. Most recently at the S&W Indoor Nationals this past February. Both were experienced shooters, one an expert, the other a master class.

I also know a 1911 shooter who shot off a testicle.

Competence breeds complacency.

I've seen a lot of shooters put their finger over the muzzle to guide the gun into a holster. I've seen others poke the muzzle into their kidney on the journey into the holster.

It's not a Glock thing, though Glocks require a bit more vigilance.

Back to the case at hand, the judge should throw it out.

There's nothing wrong with Uncle Mike holsters, you can buy better, you can spend more, but their's are safe and a value for new shooters.

Bull. It’s yet another dog and pony show to stop the cowboy action shooters from reminding rich, middle class feminists of the past.

He’s an idiot, but I will say to FReepers wanting protection and not familiar with it. Glock is a weapon that requires no attention. It may be to much for a beginner. Get a comfortable gun and practice.

...re. “rich, middle class feminists,”—the anti-Second-Amendment Million March organization, which was an umbrella for many other organizations (mostly involved in lobbies for “professional” causes of the political left) that continue to be most active against the Second Amendment now.

Yea, tripping that safety leads me to believe he holstered it with the index finger engaged in the trigger.

The twit had his finger on the trigger when he re-holstered the gun.

It will happen every time.

You do not know that.

This is the Uncle Mike's Thumb Break Kydex holster described in the article. I carry a Glock 19 and it is conceivable that the thumb break interfered inside the trigger guard, and pressed the trigger with this holster design.

Glocks are designed for people who know what they're doing.
