I wish I could see the whole rig this guy was wearing. He is suing four different companies so I assume he is suing every piece of gear that was attached to the holster. I'm wonder why he isn't suing Glock?

He's suing every entity connected with the sale of the holster, including the holster manufacturer. The guy is a tool. It's apparent he's never been trained, he's a cheapskate for buying a POS holster, and he should not own a Glock.

IMO Glocks are not for untrained newbies.

For any new gun owners who are not familiar with guns, get a revolver. Seriously. It's absolutely foolproof, can be left loaded forever, and it goes bang when you pull the trigger all the way back.

I love semiauto pistols, really I do, but I only have a few of them that I consider absolutely reliable. And even then, someone who carries them needs to be intimately familiar with how they work.

A good Smith and Wesson or the new Ruger LCR or a Charter Arms or Taurus .38 is a blessing in the hand of someone not yet a "gun nut". And if you're only defending your home, consider a pump shotgun.

But whatever you own, take the time to become familiar with the controls, practice, practice some more, and know basic gun handling safety. Get advice from a gun-savvy friend. Know the laws where you live. Be prepared before you hear a noise in the night. It might be Grandma, and it might be your kids sneaking in. Have a good flashlight and a plan. Don't be That Guy.

Explaining this lawsuit is ridiculous. How many pounds of force require the hammer to engage?

Your keyword for indiana should read Illinois.

Which actually makes this story stranger.
This particular town is in Cook County, which has some very draconian gun laws, more so than Illinois gun laws which are also very strict
The only people that get to carry guns are cops, politicians and gang bangers/criminals.
Ordinary citizens need to get permission from the state to own guns, much less carry same.

I should very much like to know which group complainant belongs in.

I also know a 1911 shooter who shot off a testicle.

How int he world could this happen with an experienced shooter. No less than 4 things have to happen to make a 1911 go bang. 1) Removal from holsert to clear the trigger, 2) a drop on the safety, and 3/4) the swartz safety must be pushed in concurrently with the squeezing of the trigger.

Isn’t this kind of like blaming your underwear for getting a woman pregnant?

I’m a big fan of Glock, but, the safety is on the trigger, which is good in a tense situation, but lots of cops have shot themselves in the butt re-holstering.

No strap to interfere, only costs about $45 including a paddle mount. Will also adapt to an assortment of other mounting options.

I personally think the button is a bit obvious and doesn't offer that much protection against offenders trying to get your weapon.

"Why did he have a gun in a courthouse? "

First question I asked. (Even Texas specifically prohibits CHL carriers from packing in any courthouse.)

Even more importantly:

Why did he have a DRAWN gun in a courthouse?

U-2012>The twit had his finger on the trigger when he re-holstered the gun.

It will happen every time.

You do not know that.

Glocks are designed for people who know what they're doing.

I carry a G-30 or a G-27

I train hundreds of Certified NRA Instructors each year.

NRA T/C CRSO

Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction

Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot

Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use

I wonder if he did a spring change; no mention of that. A change to a 3# spring (readily available) changes/defeats part of the Glock/all striker fired pistols inherent manufacturers built in safeties.
