Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for U.S. President Barack Obama, has called on the president to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch? said the former national security advisor to former U.S. President Jimmy Carter in an interview with the Daily Beast. Brzezinski, who served in the Carter administration from 1977 to 1981, is currently a professor of American foreign policy at Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies in Maryland. We have to be serious about denying them that right, he said. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a 'Liberty' in reverse." Israel mistakenly attacked the American Liberty ship during the Six-Day War in 1967

I think his daughter should dance for the troops.
They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?
No, we’ll be shooting them coordinates.
Imagine if Pat Buchanan had recommended this course of action during the GWB Administration? Can you imagine the Media frenzy?
” Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for U.S. President Barack Obama, has called on the president to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran “
YOU can stand out there and throw IDE’s at them when they go by
That would be a tough order to follow for afterward the poor pilots could only say for the rest of their lives, like they did at Nuremberg, “but we were only following orders.”
I’d hope and pray that our fighter pilots would refuse such an order.
I thought Iraq was a sovereign country.
By what legal authority could we shoot down planes from a friendly country attacking one of the worst terrorist support states?Flying warplanes into a sovereign country's airspace is an act of war. That's why you need to ask permission/have a treaty.
That's what he's blabbering about.
Ziggy is really to old to be taken seriously. Like me.

Did someone say "coffee break"?
The left labeled Pat Buchannan as an anti semite for QUESTIONING our aid for Israel. Will they call Zbig an anti-semite for advocating shooting down Israeli planes?
But without certainty that the CIC is constitutionally qualified to hold the office, they can't even say they were sure they were lawful orders...
I hope and pray that such an order wouldn't get past the highest levels of command.
Yes. And even the militarily confused President Obama is clear on this.
That's a much more probable scenario than shooting down Israeli fighter jets. Something the CIA could take care of quietly, with no fallout other than some crazy-sounding comment from the reliably crazy-sounding Jimmy Carter. Just imagine if the CIA did this, and Carter jumped in front of the TV cameras saying "I believe the CIA did this". The whole world would roll its eyes and then carry on as usual.
Israel has the right to defend itself.
Z B better butt out.
Mossad has a long reach. Zig could find himself with a bigger problem in the future- a very personal problem.
Whatever happened to Gerard Bull?
