MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) - Glenn Beck's visit to his hometown in Washington state this weekend seemed simple enough on the surface, with a ceremonial key to the city awaiting him and the mayor naming the day in the Fox News personality's honor.
But this being Glenn Beck, nothing is that easy.
Groups have demonstrated on the streets and in city council meetings over the conservative commentator's visit. Petitions have been collected calling on the cancellation of the visit. A small business owner put up a sign that says: "Glenn Beck & Hatred not welcome here." And the leader of a nearby city has offered the key to his city to Jon Stewart in sort of a mayoral rebuttal.

Liberals are so petty.
They showed this “protest” on the “news” not long ago. It was three filthy hippies having an acid trip on a street corner.
All these people against BECK...... they are anti-Mormon...
But have they connected Glenn Beck to hatred? If not, that would appear to be a critical omission.
This is one of many reasons why I’m chomping at the bit to retire and move the hell out of Washington State.
Hatred? I think of many, many more things that Obama has said that could be considered hatred by these asshats.

I lived on the Seattle outskirts for 7 years. You have to realize WA State is essentially two states. East of the cascades very agricultural, sparser population, and conservative. West of the Cascades is much more urban, heavily populated, and liberal. I’ve never seen a State as clean cut divided by geography and culture as WA State.
This occurred in the small town of Mt Vernon, a store owner complained that a customer said that if they hosted Glen Beck, he could not shop at that store anymore.
People who hate Glenn Beck are just haters, pure and simple.
People who hate Bill Ayers hate him because he wanted to destroy America. Hating the left is a form of loving the U.S.A.

In the course of my life, every Mormon I’ve ever met was extremely happy. Not certain why, but I’ve always wondered??? (I’m a bad Catholic riddled with guilt!) LOL
Why do the libbys think Beck is full of hate? He’s just trying to do the right thing and take our government to task.
The libbers just like name calling. Earlier I saw a dumb post on DU (while lurking) ...and some lib lady and an “anti-socialist” lady were parked next to each other in a drug store parking lot. The lib lady saw a Socialist Obama clown bumper sticker on the other lady’s car. The lib lady said the “FREEPER” woman started yelling at her and called her names...blah blah... Anyway - the DU’ers are starting to refer to everyone against Obama as a FREEPER!
