I was just trying to point out that not only was she being a [non-PC word, that rhymes with "stitch"], she was also just flat wrong.
And right you are. It’s depressing that we (our children, actually) must deal with prejudice, mean-spiritness, stupidity, AND ignorance all rolled into one while getting an “education”.
I saw a video the other day of a teacher (college level-Berkeley)lecturing on why it was so easy for the whites to cruise over to Africa and capture slaves. A student asked, “How many of the Africans were enslaved by other tribes and sold to the slave traders? The teacher replied, “Good question! I have no idea.”
Having said all that, I do want to point out there are many fine, dedicated teachers - even in the public schools. I currently have no complaints about the education my three grandsons are getting in public schools in North Texas surburban schools— so far, at least.
