DETROIT - Police say a Detroit woman fired shots at two men trying to steal her purse at a gas station, killing one of them.
Detroit police spokesman John Roach tells the Detroit Free Press the 43-year-old woman had a license to carry the gun.
Police say two men approached the woman about 5:30 a.m. Friday at a gas station on the city’s northwest side and stole her purse. She fired several shots and they fled.
About a half hour later, a man with several gunshot wounds was brought to Detroit’s Sinai-Grace Hospital, where he died. Roach says investigators believe he was one of the purse snatchers.

One of the great things about concealed carry permits is that the criminals don’t know who has one.
The lady should be arrested and charged.
She is a threat.
Because of her actions, hundreds of hours of union police time, paper work has been lost. Public Defender lawyers have missed a client and billing the taxpayer. Judges, bailiffs, bail bondsmen, sheriff’s, prison guards, and all the private contractors that support courts and jails are a little more poorer.
There are not too many jobs left in Detroit, nor industries. The crime/judicial/prison industry is one of the few remaining, and this lady goes and threatens the industry and it’s tens of thousand of union workers.

I needed a feel-good story.
I’d prefer the entire security/’justice’ system go on vacation for a year. Then the scum will rise up and over a few months most will be gunned down and we will have peace until a new illiterate, un memoried generation becomes ‘active’.
She chose wisely.
